READING LIST AND LINKS

Recommended Books
Of course all books by Mr. Yates are highly recommended by the A-KaTo (see books and videos) but there are many other excellent texts for the serious martial artist. Look for them at a bookstore or at amazon.com.

The Ultimate Martial Arts Q and A Book, John Graden and John Corcoran
Information in a question/answer format that covers the major styles, martial entertainment and things like "how to find a school." You'll spend hours reading this one.

Living the Martial Way, Forrest Morgan
A fascinating look at the philosophy that motivates the lifelong martial artist. Written by a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Karate-Do, My Way of Life, Gichin Funakoshi
The life story of the man most consider the father of modern karate. Expertly translated into English.
